Wisdom of God

Rather we speak God's wisdom that hidden in mystery which God predetermined before the ages to the extent of our glory (1 Corinthians 2:7)

To the extent of our glory Paul writes, the wisdom of God was predetermined. Let us not fail to see that it is for our glory. Our glorification doesn't override his glory as what he predetermined and is making known is to the praise of his glory. This wisdom is not of men, but of God and was hidden in God beforehand for our glorification.

according to the good pleasure of his will, to the extent of his glory... according to the riches of his grace which he lavished on us in all wisdom and insight, making known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure which he purposed in Christ (Ephesians 1:6-10)

The wisdom of God that was hidden in God before he created the world was to the extent of our glory. Of his will, because it pleased him, to the extent of his glory, he is making known to us purposed wisdom. Christ is from God to us wisdom.

just as he chose us in him before he created the world... (Ephesians 1:4)

God had a purpose in Christ. Jesus was delivered up according to the predetermined purpose and foreknowledge of God (Acts 2:23). God had a plan and it was hidden in him in the beginning, before he created the world. Concerning this salvation the prophets prophesied and looked diligently into investigating it with care and even the angels longed to look at it closely, that which is now revealed to us in Christ (1 Peter 1:10-13).

he predestined us for adoption as his own through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of his glory... (Ephesians 1:5-6)

To the praise of his glory, and to our glory, Jesus came to give to those who received him the right to become children of God, not born by fleshly means, but of God (John 1:12-13). We know this is a new birth of the Spirit and the Spirit is one of adoption which testifies inwardly of our new birth, that we are his children (Romans 8:14-16). God predestined us for adoption as his own, as his children, to the praise of his glory.

now we all with unveiled faces, reflected as a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed to the same image, from glory to glory, even as the source, the Lord's Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:18)

In the old testament the glory of God shown in face of Moses but he wore a veil so they could not gaze upon it (Exodus 34:29-35). The new covenant is far more glorious as the glory is uncovered, unconcealed in the face of Christ, "... who has flooded our hearts with the light of the glorious knowledge of God in the face of Christ" (2 Corinthians 4:6). The glory that shines in our hearts through the face of Christ transforms us from glory to glory. This kind of wisdom is from God and can not be perceived by the carnal man.

so that your faith exists not on wisdom of men but on the power of God (1 Corinthians 2:5)

Paul said to the brothers in Corinth that he did not come in excellence of speech or wisdom but in weakness and fear so that his words and message were not skillful rather in demonstration of Spirit and power so their faith would be based not on wisdom but power. He tells them in the next chapter he had no power to speak to them as spiritual people rather like as fleshly, like as infants in Christ he fed them milk and wanted to give them meat but they were not ready (1 Corinthians 3:1-3). There are three types of believers; children, young people, and mature. And the spiritual age doesn't always align with the physical. Our faith exists in God's power not wisdom of men.

until we all attain unity of faith and knowledge of the Son of God unto mature adulthood, unto the measure of the stature of Christ (Ephesians 4:13-15)

What God purposed in the church is that children grow up into mature adulthood, no longer tossed to and fro and blown about in every wind of doctrine, in human cunning, in craftiness with deceitful scheming (Ephesians 4:13-14). Children can be taken captive through philosophy and empty deceit according to traditions of men, according to elemental principles of the world and not according to Christ (Colossians 2:8).

... unto mature adulthood, unto the measure of the stature of Christ (Ephesians 4:13-15)

Maturity comes through wisdom from God not men. Mature men in Christ should have obtained such wisdom and be able to spiritually discern the things of God. They would know how they became mature and would be able to teach others these spiritual truths. A child understands at a child's level, he is still carnal in mind. But the mature person has been transformed and renewed in mind so to be spiritually minded. A mature person can discern the spiritual and teach accordingly.

now, speaking wisdom among the ones mature, but not wisdom of this age, also not rulers of this age, the one useless, rather we speak wisdom from God... to the extent of our glory (1 Corinthians 2:6-7)

When Paul writes "for 'who has known the mind of the Lord so as to advise him?' now we have the mind of Christ" he is referring to the mature person (1 Corinthians 2:15). No one can understand the wisdom of God except the Spirit of God and we have received the Spirit of God freely given and what is spoken and taught is not wisdom from men but of the Spirit, expressed in spiritual truths (1 Corinthians 2:11-13). Now, the natural man does not receive that of the Spirit of God, for existing foolishness to him, he can not understand because they are spiritually discerned (1 Corinthians 2:14-15).

but the spiritual person discerns all and himself is under no scrutiny for can any know the mind of the Lord as to teach him? But we have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:14-15).

The new testament scriptures gives us a picture of a growth process. A child in Christ still has a carnal mind and as such can not discern the spiritual truths that are meant for the mature. A child needs to know his identity in Christ, being rooted and founded in faith and love so to grow up in Christ. It is also very clear in scripture that the carnal mind can not submit to the spiritual laws of God. The Law was weak through the flesh as the Law was spiritual and man was carnal. God solves this issue by making us into spiritual beings. But we still live in a body in which sin dwells and evil is near. For a child to be able to be obedient his mind needs to be renewed.

It would be silly for a farmer to expect a harvest without putting in the hard work beforehand of tilling, sowing, and watering... So it is in the kingdom of God, to expect fruit without putting in the hard work of teaching spiritual truths to children so they are rooted, and grow up to endure the thorns, into maturity. What comes from the wisdom of God produces maturity. Every good gift and maturing gift comes from above so that it produces fruit (James 1:17-18). It is wisdom from God, with the purpose of producing maturity (James 1:2-5). Not the wisdom of men, but of God, it produces wholeness, fullness in God, a lacking in nothing were God is our longing desire, not the things of this world.

Rather we speak God's wisdom that hidden in mystery which God predetermined before the ages to the extent of our glory (1 Corinthians 2:7)

The wisdom of God that was hidden and comes down from above is for our glorification. This is scriptural and by no means does it diminish God's glory as he is glorified in that we bear much fruit (John 15:8). Our glorification is to the praise of his glory. To be glorified is to like him, to be mature in knowledge of Jesus and spiritual truths. The mature in Christ bear fruit, God has revealed to them wisdom taught through the Spirit of God expressed in spiritual truths. Having known the truth they can teach others such wisdom. But know, the wisdom of God produces maturity.

I do not cease giving thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers so that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, gives you a spiritual of wisdom and revelation in knowing him... (Ephesians 1:17)

One Grace

" moreover,  One, to each of us has been given Grace, according to the measure of the gift of Christ ." 1 Grace is a founding principle of Christianity. It is by Grace we grow into the fullness of Christ through faith; " to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. " 2  Without Grace we will never reach this fullness. The weakness in the Law was it attempted to do it in the flesh, and people failed over and over, so God in His infinite wisdom, unveiled this mystery, through faith in Christ we have grace to boldly approach His throne of Grace, to receive grace and mercy as needed! This gift of Grace is properly understood by examining this verse in three parts;  moreover,  One Grace, to each of us has been given, according to the measure of the gift of Christ . First, we understand,  One   grace, it is easy to miss the  One,  and this verse is translated in different ways, I believe it says One Grace and is meant to be concatenated to

Word Of Life

"That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life. " 1 Jesus is the Word, He was in the beginning with God. 2  All things were made through Him. He is the Word and Light of men, the way, the path, "I am the way, the truth, and the life." 4  Thus we can say as the Psalmist, Jesus, the Word, is a Lamp unto my feet, and a Light unto my path. 5  "In him was life, and the life was the light of men." 6  Concerning the Word of Life, " the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life ," Proclaimed, that our joy may be complete, a glory like that in the beginning, fellowship with the Father, with one another, and with his Son Jesus Christ, the Word of Life. "You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot

Those He Calls He Equips

Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen . Hebrews 13:20-21 When God calls us he equips us, the God of Peace, the one who brought us from the dead by the blood of the Eternal Covenant, will equip you so to do his will. So in this concept of being equipped, we see the calling being irrevocable. "For it is God who works in you to Will and to act on behalf of his good pleasure." Philippians 2:13 God called you, he's working in you equipping you to work on behalf of his good pleasure. "So that the man of God may be complete fully equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:17 . In Hebrews 12 we read God disciplines those he loves, so that we share in his holy character, as the scriptures
