"to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the Beloved."1
Jesus would become our righteousness, we would be holy and blameless before God through Jesus! This is the glorious grace Paul speaks of. In love, I am holy and blameless before the Father, because of this glorious grace. This is a gift through faith in Jesus. Lets labor into the eternal as it is food for the soul, we have all been blessed with these spiritual blessings through Christ. Oh we have this bold access to the throne as His children, "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace"2
"Just as he chose us, in him before the foundation of the world to be for us holy and blameless before him, in love,"3 Now this scripture requires close analysis. Some times in translation the words are reordered so to be proper English. Now if we look at "to be for us" which is often translated as "for us to be" we see the possibility of a different meaning. One says "for us to be holy and blameless before him" and the other says "to be for us holy and blameless before him" In context, the Father chose us, in Jesus to be for us holy and blameless before the Father, in love. It is truth that God established this mystery before the foundation of the world, Jesus would become our righteousness, so that we would be holy and blameless before the Father, in Love.
Having come, Jesus proclaimed the gospel of peace to the Jew and the Gentile, for through Him we have bold access to the Father, both by one Spirit.7 This gospel of peace reconciles both in one body, His Church, two become one, the veil to the holy of holies is torn, the barrier, the hostility abolished. The hostility was in the Law, circumcision of the flesh distinguished His people, such caused hostility as it separated. But "God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)" Why? "to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved."8
"In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory."6
This gospel of peace, good news, glad tidings, brings God's glorious grace, unity between the two. It abolished the necessity of the Law to establish righteousness, being founded and established in His love. Such proclaims His glory and manifests His manifold wisdom hidden from the beginning of time. It is by these glorious riches he will "strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith."9 Why? to be filled with His fullness, this experience of the width, depth, height, of His love, "to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God."10 Oh God, I pray, open our eyes to your truth, it is life! It is by living this gospel of peace, by our love and unity, that the world knows we are His disciples and that the Son, is the begotten of the Father, the God of Abraham. To preach the gospel is tell of the good news of the unsearchable riches of Christ, and the fellowship of the mystery. To speak of the glorious riches of His glorious grace we receive through faith in his glorious son, that's glorious news.
